What is Assa Colours?

Welcome to the Assa Colours!

Welcome to Assa Colours, a safe and creative space where people can record podcasts and young people can learn how to share their voices through podcasting.

Assa Colours is offering six young people the opportunity to create their own podcast, completely free of charge, including full training, within the next 12 months.

Our podcast project is designed especially for beginners and aspiring creators aged 13–25 who want to explore ideas, experiment with sound, and produce their own shows. We are located on the 1st Floor of the Colours Cafe and Inclusion Hub!

At Assa Colours, we believe that every voice matters. The podcast room is part of a community project that gives young people the confidence, skills, and tools to express themselves, tell stories, and engage with the world. Whether you’re curious about podcasting or already have an idea you want to record, we’re here to support you.

Podcasting is more than just recording audio. It helps young people build communication skills, gain confidence in self-expression, and explore opportunities in media and storytelling. It’s also a chance to connect with others, share perspectives, and inspire your community with fresh ideas.

If you would like to join, book the studio, or find out more, get in touch with us today. Whether you’re signing up for a workshop or reserving a session to record your own podcast, Assa Colours is here to help you find your voice.

At AXIOM, our social value mission is to leave a lasting positive impact on local communities in West Cumbria and Risley through collaborative engagement, innovation, and shared success. The Assa Colours Podcast will see the creation of a dedicated podcast studio within Colours Café, transforming the space into a hub for creativity and youth empowerment. Alongside the studio, we’re rolling out a multi-week skills development programme designed to equip young people with hands-on experience in podcast production—from concept to recording, editing, and publishing. By giving young people a platform to share their voices and stories, the Assa Colours Podcast aligns perfectly with our mission to foster community enrichment and support sustainable incomes. It’s more than just a podcast—it’s a movement to amplify local talent and nurture future changemakers.
